Health 

Health or Medical Problems & Elderly Dogs:  

Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for a senior dog or a dog with health problems, and can expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current one during or after the groom. 

We will do our best to avoid added stress, and by being a one-on-one environment with no cabinet driers, you can be reassured all attention is directed to your dog solely.  

Fleas/Ticks:  

Please ensure your dog is groomed thoroughly each day, by doing so you will notice any differences and skin problems, including fleas and ticks, any dogs showing signs of parasites will be refused their appointment.  

Accidents: 

 There is always the possibility an accident could occur. Grooming equipment is sharp, even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations. Possible problems that could occur include cuts, nicks, scratches and quickening of the nails. In most cases this can happen when a dog is wiggling or moving around. We make every effort to ensure your dog is groomed as safely as possible, but if your dog does not accept the process, it can be dangerous to continue the groom, in this scenario you may be asked to collect your dog, regardless of how much work has been carried out. 

Condition of coat

Matted Coats:  

We do not de-matt neglected coats. If your dog has any mats larger than a 50 pence piece, they will be clipped out, no prior warning will be given after signing the terms and conditions, so please check and comb daily. 

Any small tangles and isolated matted hair will be removed from the coat which can be achieved quickly without causing anxiety, stress or pain. The health and condition of a dog’s coat and skin are the responsibility of the owner (along with its physical and psychological state of health). Professional grooming plays an important role in the commitment undertaken when choosing any breed of dog. This level of commitment is evident in the condition of the coat due to effective home grooming and temperament due to socialisation and training;  

I will advise on what equipment is best to use when needed.  

Behaviour 

Aggressive or Dangerous Dogs: 

Please let us know prior to booking any temperament issues your dog may have, failure to do so will result in the charge of a full groom regardless of how much fur has been trimmed off.

Pricing 

All Prices Assume a Reasonable Condition and Temperament. 

 Additional charges will apply for the extra time and products involved in grooming neglected coats, in-particular those which require clipping off due to severe matting and for dogs whose temperament or health also requires more time to complete. 

A charge of £10 per 30 minutes or best of will be added.

Deposits

A 50% deposit is required to secure a booking, this will only be refunded if you cancel your appointment 48 hours prior.

No Shows/Missed Appointments 

Please give 48 hours' notice for cancelations, regardless of the reason, if you don’t cancel you will not be given another appointment until you have paid in full for the one you have missed.

Lateness

 Unfortunately, the way things are run in our salon, doesn't always work for some pet owners. 

We have no cages or holding areas, which means if you are late for drop off or pick up, it has immediate effect on mine and my next clients day.

If you are late on more than one occasion you may not be considered for a return appointment
